I was really happy to hear this week that one of my photos – ‘The Offering’ – had been selected as a semi-finalist in this year’s Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize.
Some welcome news after a pretty tumultuous year…

I’ve bitten the bullet, and finally made a facebook page for my photos.
Come over and say hello:
A series of Polaroid photos taken on a road trip through Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia at the start of 2011.
From a recent wedding I was fortunate enough to photograph (a first for me). I took it on with great trepidation, but happy to report it all turned out well in the end.

One of the challenges I’ve found so far in my Project 366 is finding inspiration, and after two weeks I was a bit over it, expecting ideas and images to just be there for the taking. Once I accepted it wasn’t going to be easy – especially when you’re already busy and not getting out and about much – and realised I’d have to work hard for a decent image each day, it’s renewed my interest again. And this has been one of the results – a double exposure, combined in post with a failed polaroid:
